16 Weeks, 0 Days

So I think I had my first panic attack last night. Fun times. And I'm not even sure what I was panicking about, other than the fact that I couldn't breathe which was brought on by the panic attack.

And I think someone is playing "Poke The Mommy." Yay. Because I was complaining that I couldn't feel the baby and I was worried. I'm sure I'll regret those words in a few months.

According to the ticker today: "I'm about 5 oz & 5 inches this week & mommy should feel me kick soon if she hasn't yet! I'm 16 weeks old, only 168 days to go!"

Oh, and who knew that 3 years was such a long time. All the baby stuff looks different now, and the room decor we had for Dylan (which we were going to reuse for this baby) is all discontinued. It was quite a search this morning to find the border on Ebay. But we found it. So yay! We don't have to buy all new room decor, just new furniture, a new rug, crib mattress...

15 Weeks, 5 Days

Found another ticker:

And I remember now how much I dislike being pregnant. I just can't wait for it to be over.

Doctor Appt

pregnancy week by week

Went to the OB last week. Heard the heartbeat. I decided I don't want a doppler because as he was looking for the heartbeat, I heard a very slow heartbeat and I was like, "Isn't that a little slow?" I got a Look and was told, "That's you." Oh. Oops. But everything is good.

I bought some new maternity clothes. Yay! Since my old ones don't really fit so well. Dylan came with me and did not like the pillow you put on your stomach. He wanted me to take it off and got really upset by it. I can't say I blame him - it was this big black thing growing off my stomach.

I'm feeling better, so maybe I'll be motivated to move this site to wordpress in order to accept comments since they are obviously not going to work here.

13 Weeks, 4 Days

Got the results for my ultra screen. Our risk of down syndrome and the other stuff is very low - about 1/8900. Which is good. My doctor appointment was moved from next Tuesday to next Friday.

I'm still feeling pretty tired. Hopefully that will be done soon. Other than that, it's the same old, same old.

It's A Boy!

So they tell me.

Went for the Ultra Screen today - which I didn't have to do with Dylan. This checks for the risk of Down Syndrome and two other chromosomal abnormalities Tri-Something or other-18 and -13. With Dylan, that was part of the quad screen I got at 16 weeks, but this is now what they do because the quad screen had too many false positives. So the baby's measurements look good, but they won't give me results until they get the bloodwork back (finger prick - yuck). The U/S Tech asked if we were going to find out what the baby was, and I told her about the whole fiasco the last time, so she said that was radiology, and their business here was babies (I got to go to the maternity ward in the hospital instead of yucky radiology for this) and that she could make a pretty good guess as to what the baby was. It was at that point (before she even drew the arrow or typed "BOY") that I knew.

The funny thing is, I had a dream last night that I was having a C section and the baby came out and he looked almost exactly like Dylan except a little different. Another little blond haired blue eyed boy.

Anyway, my results will be back in a few days, and the best is that I don't have to go to radiology for my 20 week ultrasound - I get to go back to the happy maternity place! Yay!

Oh - on a technical note, something is not working here with comments, but I'm aware and trying to fix it.
